In fact, these codes refer to the meaning of controlling several groups of circuits and switching several groups of signals. For example, SPST calls it a single-axis single-cut (single-pole single-throw in mainland China), one circuit that can pass one switch at a time; one switch The number of loops that can be controlled. This also affects how many feet on the switch, such as the nine-foot shaker switch, if you want to switch ON-ON, it will be the 3PDT mark, you can control the three sets of conduction at a time, you can use the handle to switch the two sets of circuits effect.
Here are a few examples:
SPST single-axis single-cut (single-pole single-throw) => single group conduction, single circuit open and close, with two feet (cut one)
SPDT single-axis double-cut (single-pole double-throw) => single group conduction, two groups of circuits open and close, with three feet
DPST double-axis single-cut (double-pole single-throw) => two sets of conduction, single circuit open and close, four feet (cut two)
DPDT double-axis double-cut (double-pole double-throw) => two sets of conduction, two sets of circuits open and close, with six feet
3PDT three-axis double-cut (three-pole double-throw) => three sets of conduction, two sets of circuits open and close, there are nine feet
And so on, (several P) x (several T+1) = number of terminal pins, because the switch must be turned on, there must be two points, so the switch must be at least ~ at least two feet.
